I’m an incoming Publishing Media MA student at Oxford Brookes. I was Music Editor for The Boar, the University of Warwick newspaper, for two years. Since 2021, I’ve written articles for The Boar, TrueStyleMusic, and DIY Magazine. I’m also a huge music nerd. I’ve been going to concerts since I was 11, and at this point, I’ve seen over 200 artists live. My favourite genre is pop punk, but I also listen to anything indie, rock, emo (whatever you want to take that term to mean!), and pop. My favourite artist is The 1975, and my favourite album is American Idiot by Green Day.

I started TSM back in 2019, as a way of showing my love for live music and gigs, and since then have grown this into what it is today.
I love (almost) any live music, and the opportunity to discover new bands and sounds, but there will always be a special place in my heard for Frank Turner, Pet Needs and The Lottery Winners.
Jess – Photographer, writer
I’m Jess – a part-time live music and portrait photographer based in the Midlands. From a very young age I’ve always loved music, it is such a huge passion for me yet I was never gifted musically, so getting to live out the music touring life I always dreamed of without having to perform myself while subsequently finding a new passion at the same time just made sense to me. And since shooting my first gig on December 3rd 2018 I was in love. There is nothing better than getting in a pit or wiggling around audience members to get the perfect shot. The portraiture work comes from my love of the degree I am currently studying at Gloucestershire University, BA Hons Editorial and Advertising Photography. I also have a huge love of film photography and own way too many film cameras for my own good. Constantly trying new film formats and ways to experiment with film to create different outcomes. I enjoy using it to create candid memories from backstage or after parties.
